From this one project, I
hope to gain an understanding of a foreign
place, of an unknown culture and a different people. Although we are
one world, one tiny planet floating through space and time, there are
too many barriers between peace and perfect understanding. I hope
that through a year of hard work and sharing, we can collapse at least
one of those barriers and let the light of understanding shine through.
I want the world to know that children can be as thoughtful and
responsible as adults and that we can make a difference.
